Altona Museum

Visitors can find out more about the history of the popular Hanseatic city and the whole of Schleswig-Holstein at the Altona Museum in Hamburg. The museum brings you closer to the art and cultural history of northern Germany as well as fishing and sailing.

Automuseum Prototyp

In the HafenCity, the PROTOTYP car museum presents rare sports and racing car classics as well as cars with a special story from over 80 years of automotive history.

Bargheer Museum

The Bargheer Museum in Hamburg's Jenischpark is dedicated to the life work of the Hamburg painter of the same name.

Bucerius Kunst Forum

The Bucerius Kunst Forum, located on the street "Alter Wall", invites its guests to enjoy an exclusive encounter with the classics of art. Four alternating exhibitions per year show, in a concentrated format, international art of the highest quality, from antiquity to classic modern art.

Deichtorhallen - Falckenberg Collection

The Falckenberg Collection in the Phoenix Fabrikhallen in Hamburg-Harburg presents the private collection of Harald Falckenberg (1943-2023) on over 6,000 square metres and five floors, with a focus on German and American contemporary art from the 1980s onwards.

Alter Elbtunnel

When the old Elbe Tunnel, also called St. Pauli Elbe Tunnel, opened in 1911, it was a technical sensation. Today, it is a nostalgic and lovingly tended piece of Hamburg history – and has already celebrated its 100th anniversary.

New point of interest with a special view of the city: the remodelled and greened bunker from the Second World War in the heart of St. Pauli is now open to the public. This powerful building is not only a piece of history, but also a lively centre for culture, nature and hospitality.

Cap San Diego

The white swan of the South Atlantic: The ‘Cap San Diego’ was built in 1961 as a cargo ship for the Hamburg-Süd shipping company and sailed primarily to South America until 1981. She is now moored as a museum ship at the Überseebrücke and brings Hamburg's maritime history to life.

Chilehaus

Like the bow of a ship, the pointed tip of the Chilehaus juts out into the street – a defining example of 1920s architecture in Hamburg. This listed office building in the Kontorhaus District is one of the city's most famous structures and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. Anyone strolling through the old town will inevitably come across this striking brick building – and a living piece of urban history.

Landungsbrücken

The floating dock - called the "Landungsbrücken" (landing stages) – is 700 metres long. Harbour tours and the HADAG steamers to Finkenwerder, Oevelgönne and Blankenese leave from this water "station". Impressive luxury cruisers also dock here from time to time.
