Tradition meets modernity - The new Schulauer Fährhaus with the world-famous ship welcoming station, Willkomm Höft.

In the completely renovated rooms of Schulauer Fährhaus right on the outskirts of Hamburg, the chef Franz Jost provides a breath of fresh air from his open show kitchen.

Restaurant

In this fine dining restaurant there are two exclusive menus to choose from which are delicately coordinated. Guests can choose from the varied menu whilst enjoying the best view of the Elbe and the passing ships. Every day, pastry chef Wieland Funk prepares fresh, home-made cakes and tarts in the bakery.

Arrival and departure

And since 1952 the maître d's have been welcoming the big ships on the Elbe from 10am to sunset and can provide the guests with a wide range of information on the ships that have just arrived or left. Their main sources of information are over 17,000 index cards and the daily harbour report.
