Pinakas

Aside from gyros and chips, Pinakas serves fresh, Greek specialities. Enjoy the fine selection of exquisite starters!

Pinakas has long done away with the cliché that Greek cuisine offers only fatty foods and oversized portions.

Here, the emphasis is on fresh ingredients and fresh preparation; instead of fries and gyros you will find lots of small plates with irresistibly delicious appetisers and entrées such as souvlaki kalamakia, baked goat's cheese on a bed of lentils or meatballs in tomato sauce. Besides the many starters, there are a few main dishes such as the stifado, a stew with braised beef and onions, or the delicious seared lamb fillet. The restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but turns out to be something of a gourmet temple. Certainly more Greek than any "Greek around the corner"!

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Eimsbüttel & Eppendorf

Here, one can find magnificent old building façades, local and exquisite restaurants as well as fancy boutiques and owner-operated shops. While Eppendorf is rather fancy, one can feel the hanseatic serenity in Eimsbüttel. Both districts offer much green and water and are hence with good reason very popular neighbourhoods in Hamburg.

Eating, drinking, clubbing Herzblut St. Pauli

Herzblut: A fitting name, meaning "lifeblood", since the people of St. Pauli have partying in their hearts. A cross between a club, restaurant and cocktail bar is the ideal starting point for a night of partying on the Reeperbahn.
