Blockbräu

The BLOCKBRÄU brewery is located centrally in Hamburg's port district. Here you can get freshly brewed beer and food to suit it, directly from the brewery's own kitchen. From the terrace, you get a great view of the colourful thronging dockland and port scene.

Located in the heart of Hamburg's harbour, BLOCKBRÄU offers an impressive view of the Elbe and the hustle and bustle of the ships. The brewery extends over three levels with a total of around 400 seats inside and a spacious harbour terrace with up to 400 more seats. Master brewer Thomas Hundt and his team produce several thousand litres of naturally cloudy Helles and seasonal speciality beers such as Bock and wheat beers as well as a fresh-hop Helles with their own harbour hops in the small harbour brewery every week.

North German brewery cuisine and open-air barbecues
The brewery cuisine offers a wide range of options from small snacks such as fresh pretzels and crisp salads to hearty dishes such as bratwurst, knuckle of pork and steak. From May to around the end of September, the exclusive BLOCKBRÄU Open Air BBQ takes place on the harbour terrace - every Thursday from 5:00 pm.

Events & group highlights
BLOCKBRÄU is not only ideal for spontaneous visits - it is also an excellent event location. Whether a company party, private celebration or seminar: the club room offers space for up to 80 people. Regular highlights such as live music, the Blocktoberfest and the annual beer queen election ensure a varied experience.

Starting point for harbour explorers
With its prime location at the Landungsbrücken, the BLOCKBRÄU is perfect for harbour tours, Elbphilharmonie or museum visits. The connection to the U3, S1/S3 and HADAG ferries makes travelling convenient. The harbour terrace also offers a wonderful view of incoming cruise ships and harbour activities as well as of Hamburg's own, possibly most maritime hop plantation (until the hop harvest around September).
