The name of this shop gives away the speciality found here, namely eel. Particularly in its traditional smoked form, “Bad Zwischenahner Räucheraal”.
In addition to the house speciality, sole, plaice, salted herring and salmon are offered in various Hamburg-typical variations. Chef Marion Eismann uses old family recipes that have proven themselves in the restaurant for decades. A special highlight of the Aalspeicher is its location at Nikolaifleet. Visitors who manage to be seated on the patio facing the water enjoy a wonderful view of the historically fascinating Nikolai church.
