Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier

Since April 2025, Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier has been the new, vibrant centre of the HafenCity in the middle of the Port of Hamburg, combining unique flair and urban diversity. Directly on the waterfront, with spectacular architecture and a unique view of the harbour, it combines shopping, enjoyment and experience under one roof. Discover over 170 shops in 13 buildings on an area the size of ten football pitches, enjoy international culinary concepts in around 40 restaurants and cafés or experience art and culture in a new way in the immersive art centre Port des Lumières or in the family-friendly LEGO Discovery Centre.

Three comfortable hotels from the Accor Group are being built for overnight guests. With 579 flats and offices for around 4,000 people, the neighbourhood also offers space for modern living and working. Another highlight is the new Cruise Centre HafenCity, which will further strengthen Hamburg as a top destination for cruises.

The Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier will give the Hanseatic city a new vibrant landmark on the city's coast and at the same time provide an important boost for tourism and the metropolitan region's economy.

Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier is reshaping Hamburg’s waterfront – and is already bringing the location on the River Elbe to life in a unique way. Right on the waterfront, a modern district is taking shape, featuring impressive architecture, spacious open areas and stunning views stretching from HafenCity to the bridges over the Elbe.

Along the newly designed promenade, visitors can fully experience Hamburg’s maritime character. The first sections of the district are already open and demonstrate how the city’s waterfront is evolving: urban, open and close to the water. Many additional offerings in the hospitality, dining and leisure sectors are currently still under development and will further enrich the experience in the future.

HafenCity is regarded as one of Europe’s largest inner-city urban development projects and stands as a prime example of modern Hamburg. Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier is a central part of this development and will, in the long term, bring together living, working, shopping, and cultural and leisure activities in one place.

The innovative city quarter unites well-known shopping brands such as Breuninger, Mango, ANSON'S, Thalia and INTERSPORT Knudsen as well as one of the largest Zara flagship stores in Germany under a spectacular glass and steel roof.

Experience Hamburg's new shopping heart right on the Elbe!

Another centre for extraordinary experiences has now opened at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier in HafenCity. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of immersive art: at the new Port des Lumières, the first centre of its kind in northern Germany, you can experience art with all your senses across an impressive 1,700 square metres. Here, renowned artists, dinosaurs and marine life are given plenty of space.

Right next door, the LEGO Discovery Centre invites visitors of all ages to embark on creative adventures: experience fast-paced space missions or feel the wind in your hair in the unique 4D cinema. With a total of 12 different experience zones, the LEGO Discovery Centre is the perfect place for creativity, adventure and plenty of fun.

Film fans can enjoy spectacular cinema evenings at the state-of-the-art premium cinema, Kinopolis HafenCity. With ten screens and around 2,200 seats, equipped with Dolby Atmos technology and moving D-Box Motion seats, every film becomes a thrilling experience.

At KJ Adventure World, guests can look forward to 25 adventure rooms for solving puzzles, action and fun together. The 360° escape rooms offer games, fun and a challenge for families and teams, as well as for stag and hen parties, children’s birthday parties or corporate events.

Exclusive fish and seafood specialities with a sustainable concept can be found at Pesca - Theatre of Fish on the elegant waterfront with a breathtaking view of the Elbe. Right next door, the restaurant Lolas spoils you with delicious omelettes in the morning and transforms into a charming wine bar right on the promenade in the evening.

In the building complex ‘The Yard’, Galactic Bread is a fine dining bistro with fresh sandwiches, homemade baked goods and delicate creations during the day. In the evening, a stylish bar ambience awaits you with exquisite bistro dishes and cocktails. Highlight: The culinary concept comes from the pen of Hamburg Michelin star chef Stefan Fäth (‘Jellyfish by Stefan Fäth’), who adds a very special flavour to the culinary delight here.
