Hamburger Konservatorium is one of the largest private musical training institutes in Germany and comprises the Music School and Academy departments under one roof.
Covering various different fields and musical styles, Hamburger Konservatorium offers a broad spectrum for everyone interested. Providing one-on-one lessons and group tuition, the conservatory supports students in developing and fostering their skills. Here, the individual needs of the students take centre stage.
The course programme includes early musical education for infants in their first year of life just like courses for children and young people, as well as for working adults and senior citizens. As part of individual or ensemble lessons, students can learn to play an instrument or make music with others students. Acquiring solid knowledge, students can grow and mature in their own time, whether they are beginners or advanced learners.
The Music School department is in charge of training beginners in the categories of instruments and singing, jazz, pop and classical music, ensembles, choir and orchestra, as well as early education and children’s choirs – and of teaching instruments to working adults.
The Academy department has a focus on vocational training, e.g. for prospective graduate music teachers with a state degree and artistic maturity. The Academy department also offers study programmes for international music students from Europe, Japan, China, Korea, and the CIS countries.
