Some don't even know them anymore, for others they are the epitome of free youth and first love and provide many a flashback moment. We're talking drive-in movies. At the Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld you can experience movie nights together in the car.

Fancy suspense, romance, action and much more? Then go to the LOTTO Hamburg drive-in cinema on the inner field of the Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld!

Up to 500 cars where horses usually trot

Usually the Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld is the scene of exciting horse races and sold-out concerts. This summer, the place will be transformed into an open-air cinema. While the spectators sit in their cars, modern blockbusters and well-known movie hits flicker across the screen. The drive-in cinema offers parking space for up to 500 cars.

Nostalgic, Retro, Modern - Extensive programme

Everything is shown that is welcome. Daily screenings adorn the cinema programme. Brand-new movies and popular film classics balance each other out. Side events such as a children's cinema, concerts, readings and church services are also planned. Further programme information can be found on the website of the LOTTO Hamburg drive-in cinema.

Corona rules also for drive-in cinema

However, if you feel like a nostalgic experience in a drive-in cinema, you must adhere to certain rules and regulations. A maximum of two people are allowed per car. The generally applicable distance rule also applies in the drive-in cinema. Our tip: Make yourself comfortable in the car and let the movies cast their spell on you. By the way, the sound to the picture can be easily and conveniently received on an FM frequency via the car radio.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Altona & Ottensen

For strolling, having a coffee, taking a walk or having some delicious food – situated directly at the Elbe and traversed by parks, Altona & Ottensen are considered to be charming and diverse districts with character. Brick walls create a rather rough atmosphere in Altona, while it is lively and colourful in Ottensen.
