Highest treetop path in Northern Germany
The tree top path "Heide Himmel" is about 700 meters long. It reaches its climax at the 40-metre-high lookout tower. On good days the view extends from here to Hamburg. A fascinating view over the Lüneburger Heide is guaranteed. From the path you can admire the adjoining animal enclosures of the wildlife park. You come particularly close to the native birds at this altitude. Interesting facts about the regional flora and fauna can be found at the 20 learning stations along the high trail.
The path and all viewing platforms can be reached via lifts. The "Himmel und Erde" restaurant at the foot of the observation tower provides nutritious refreshment.
Biodiversity in the wildlife park
The Wildpark Lüneburger Heide is home to over 1200 animals and 130 species. The inhabitants of the wildlife park include polar wolves, snow leopards, moose and brown bears. The art of flying and the grace of imposing birds of prey can be observed at demonstrations.
Visitors have the choice between a separate ticket for the treetop path "Heide Himmel" or Wildpark as well as a combined ticket.

The park can be reached from Hamburg in just one hour by public transport. If you decide to travel by car, you will reach your destination in just under half an hour.
