The old gravel pit in the middle of the grounds was restored to its natural state and today offers space for a large leisure area with play area. Visitors will also find a football pitch, table tennis tables, beach volleyball and streetball pitches as well as a skater facility here. In the summer, a visit to the adjoining Marienhöhe open-air swimming pool lends itself, in addition to walks in the park. In the winter, the long slopes of the Waldpark invite visitors to go tobogganing.
