Families, daydreamsers, joggers and cyclists come to the Isebek canal between Eimsbüttel and Schanzenviertel in search of relaxation.
The greenway that runs along the Isebek canal between Weidensteig and Hoheluftbrücke is a beloved recreation area for people in Eimsbüttel and the neighbouring Schanzenviertel district. The wide sandy paths along the Kaiser Friedrich bank are ideal for joggers. There’s a playground, some lawns and numerous little bridges crossing the canal – there’s even one especially for the many cyclists in the district. The park is also the habitat of a great deal of bird species that feed on the local fish.
