Hamburg's only preserved castle can be admired in Bergedorf. Today the castle no longer serves as a residence, but is home to a modern regional museum dedicated to the history of Bergedorf.

The castle's park, directly adjacent to the castle, has been a historical preservation area since 1926. Anyone looking for peace and tranquillity will find what they are looking for here. Children can let off steam on the large children's playground. A café and the weekly market are also within easy reach.
