Children’s film for ages 5 and over, 90 minutes, Germany 2025, animated film
The magnificent African savannah is full of dangers, especially for a meerkat like our hero, Tafiti. His grandfather, Opapa, teaches him that the world is full of risks and that they’d be better off keeping to themselves. But Tafiti cannot bring himself to heed this wisdom and rushes to the rescue of Pinsel, a brush-eared pig. As he does so, a venomous snake creeps up and Opapa is bitten. The only antidote comes from a rare blue flower that blooms on the other side of the desert. To save his grandfather, Tafiti sets off on the perilous journey there. But once again, he is not alone, for Pinsel feels partly responsible for the misfortune and follows Tafiti. In the desert, they must overcome many dangers together. Will they manage to save his grandfather?
