If you think the organ is old-fashioned and only suitable for church music, then perhaps it is you who is out of date! The »Queen of instruments« is simply magnificent to listen to, and it is hard to imagine a more majestic sound. The rich texture is one of the reasons British organist Anna Lapwood loves the organ so much. »It is amazing to be able to experiment with so many different sounds and have so many ways to express the music«. Millions of people have been inspired by her to become passionate fans of the organ. She also enchanted the audience at the Elbphilharmonie when she played her first concert there in October 2025. This autumn, she is returning to Hamburg to once again coax stunningly beautiful music from the Klais organ in the Grand Hall. In a performance ranging from ethereal sensitivity to grand symphonic gestures, we can expect to explore new musical horizons.
