The festival that poetry slam deserves is celebrated. The spoken word will be celebrated in all its colourful facets when the battle of the arts invites you to a location that still gives even experienced poetry slam stars goosebumps – the Elbphilharmonie, a particularly extraordinary concert hall.
Shortly after New Year’s Eve, all the lighting effects of this event format, which may have grown up but is still full of passion, will be brought to life. Visitors can look forward to sparkling performances, bubbling gag volcanoes, glittering eyes and a good spark of madness. A luminous day lies ahead, divided into three shows.
The centrepiece of the day is Germany’s first slam award gala. The Kampf der Künste pays tribute to the greatest slammers there are and, for once, honours them not only with applause but also with an award for their fantastic work. As performers, as organisers, as part of a scene. Of course, there will also be various rousing performances at this show.
