The HafenCity InfoCenter in the renovated boiler house of the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district comprehensively documents what is happening in HafenCity: visitors can find out about the entire planning and development of Europe's largest inner-city urban development project. Almost all the essential information is available in the brick building from 1886/87: Brochures and books, changing special exhibitions, current architectural competitions and an impressive 1:500 scale urban planning model. Many of the free guided tours also start at the Kesselhaus and there are regular events around HafenCity. And in addition to the information you get in the Kesselhaus, the café is also worth a visit, as it invites you to read, linger, talk and discuss with small delicacies.
