Experience culture. Poetry Slam in Hamburg

Hamburg stands for art and culture through and through. And over the years, poetry slams have gained a firm place in Hamburg's cultural programme. Those who want to see young lyrical talents have the opportunity to do so in Hamburg almost every week. The young poet scene meets here regularly on stage to compete and inspire the audience. And with the "artistic duels", the city even has its own unofficial championship. Here, you'll find an overview of current events and the most frequent venues.

    & JULIA - Das Musical

What would happen if Juliet was given a second chance at life and love after Romeo's death? This question is answered by the turbulent musical & JULIA in Hamburg, which heralds the beginning of a fast-paced and colorful comedy in which the 16th century meets pop culture. After Romeo's death, Juliet makes the decision to leave the drama in Verona behind and flee to Paris. Here she encounters new adventures, challenges and is given a second chance to take control of her destiny.

Among the 24 number 1 pop hits that are heard in their original English version in this musical comedy are, for example, Katy Perry's "Roar", Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling" and "Perfect" by P!nk . Experience Julia's captivating story in a completely new dimension - an unforgettable spectacle that you shouldn't miss!

Abfallgeschichten. Ein Stadtspaziergang rund ums Thema Müll (für Kinder von 5 - 10 Jahren)

Collecting trash, but also learning something about it? On this somewhat different city tour through Altona, we look down rather than up. Between the train station and the town hall, we're surprised by the amount of trash we find on the sidewalks and in the park—and, let's just say, we find quite a bit!

Along the way, you'll learn all sorts of exciting things about waste, for example, who, where, and how came up with the idea of the ice cream stick (and how it was probably packaged), how long a paper tissue takes to decompose, and what thirst-quencher cartons are made of.

At the end, we looked behind the scenes of waste disposal and probably collected a bag full of trash!

    alsterfloh

The best flea market in Hamburg is once again at the Alsterdorfer Markt. At least, that is how visitors have described the Alsterfloh in recent years. There are no commercial traders at this flea market, but only private individuals who are looking for new owners for their discarded items.
