Zurich Chamber Singers: Earth seen from above Concerts

With this programme, the Zurich Chamber Singers celebrate the highlight of their tenth anniversary – and at the same time a return to a familiar venue: After their acclaimed productions »O nata lux« and »Light of Paradise«, the ensemble returns to the Elbphilharmonie to complete its anniversary season there.

The moving programme focuses on the human condition in all its facets. English songs from the 16th and 17th centuries form a common thread, posing questions about this world and the hereafter and creating a multi-layered picture of human existence. Contemporary works, including two world premieres, provide exciting points of reflection: They slow down time, linger and open up new perspectives.

The Zurich Chamber Singers have set international standards in recent years with their sensitive sound culture and their well thought-out and engaging programmes. With their infectious joy of singing and insatiable curiosity, they continue tirelessly on their path of making great choral music accessible to as many people as possible.
