Focus on Nature – the international Nature Writing Festival Hamburg 2025 presents our knowledge of nature, its impact, and its significance. Authors Volha Hapeyeva and Andreas Unterweger report on and analyze our "word-finding difficulties" in the face of the plant and animal world around us. How does language interact with living beings? We know names, but we lack the words. We find words, but we don't know names. What we know also has to do with what we can name. And what we perceive can transcend language. Volha Hapeyeva and Andreas Unterweger have written a literary dialogue on this topic. They will present and continue it in front of an audience at the Nature Writing Festival.
