What do you do if you want to explore the Südheide Nature Park, want a local guide, but want to travel there yourself using public transport?

This is exactly what the forest and heath path finder tour is for! You can get there by train; the Metronom will take you comfortably from Hamburg or Hanover to Eschede, one of our two train stations in the southern heath.

Our guides Tom and Uwe will welcome you here and invite you to take a short tour of the impressive nature park information center as an introduction to our beautiful region. Heathland, forest and a stylized underwater world will get you in the mood for the hours ahead of you across the nature park.

And then it's time to get on your bike, leaving the village behind you quickly. Along the railway tracks and through a pond landscape, you'll soon come across moors, vast forests and lonely heaths. And all of this is peppered with a lot of interesting information about the history, landscape and nature of our region.
