The »vision string quartet« presents Dmitri Shostakovich’s Seventh String Quarte tin an extraordinary interpretation – completely from memory, free from music stands. This independence lends their playing an impressive intensity and expressiveness. In the second part of the evening, the four musicians deliberately leave the traditional paths of the classical concert hall. Surrounded by light and sound technology, they immerse themselves in an innovative programme with their own compositions and arrangements. Inspired by folk, pop, rock, funk, minimal and singer-songwriter elements, they create a world of sound full of surprises with their string instruments: Sometimes the quartet sounds like a guitar, ukulele or bass, sometimes like bongos or a complete drum set.
