Only a few can spur on the idiosyncratic organism of a great orchestra solely with the tip of their baton to such top performances as Semyon Bychkov. Together with the Czech Philharmonic, over which he has presided as principal conductor since 2018, Bychkov sets off on a musical journey heading south – on the programme is Italian-inspired music by Felix Mendelssohn and Igor Stravinsky.
