With fanfares to the film music concert: the great symphonic sound worlds of Hans Zimmer can be experienced in a unique concert in your city for the first time. Probably no composer has influenced the world of film with his overwhelming compositions as much as the Oscar, Globe and Emmy winner. The visitors can expect a special musical evening in a large performance with orchestra, choir, soloists and a light production.
The German-born Hans Zimmer became famous with "Rain Main" and since then has helped numerous mega-hits from Hollywood to success and dramatic-emotional impact, including "Mission Impossible II", "Gladiator", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Interstellar" and "Batman". For the film score for Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" Hans Zimmer received his eleventh Oscar nomination in 2018.
The audience will also learn interesting background stories, such as how Hans Zimmer completely changed the beginning of Gladiator with Ridley Scott and smuggled a message against apartheid into the Lion King language text and told the big Disney corporation that it was about butterflies ....
"The Music of Hans Zimmer & More - A Celebration of Filmmusic" is presented by the Hollywood Philharmonic Orchestra as well as a choir and international soloists, with an impressive light show, projections and selected film clips.
