Hana Chang studies at the prestigious Kronberg Academy under star violinist Christian Tetzlaff and is well on her way to becoming a star herself. The violinist, born in the USA, has already given concerts worldwide and won major awards, as most recently in the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Hana Chang brings a sonata by Mozart to the Laeiszhalle, which the composer once wrote for a similarly young, prominent virtuoso. After a fairy-tale, dreamy piece by Tru Takemitsu, there follows Brahms’ popular third and final violin sonata in closing.
