You can do so much more than type, make phone calls and make tea!
Eight women, one man, and plenty of music: the scenic song recital "Secretaries" lovingly paints an entertaining portrait of a profession that often goes by other names these days, such as assistant or office manager, but without which – regardless of the name – many companies would be completely lost. They type like crazy, tie knots, keep unwanted visitors away, remember wedding anniversaries, and even arrange the bouquet. Often underestimated and underpaid, yet invaluable, secretaries together form the backbone of the company.
Yet they're as different as can be. There's the staid office manager, the fashion-conscious glamour girl, the naive pregnant woman, and the young junior employee who cares about nothing more than her work-life balance. Each has their own quirks; there's bickering and scheming, but they also stick together. What they all have in common is that they have dreams and desires. For some, these are immediately apparent; for others, they only reveal themselves gradually over the course of the evening. And: they all have a thing for the only male colleague who doesn't always handle so much attention well.
The stories of the various SECRETARYs are told through music: Accompanied by a live band, they sing their hearts out, sharing what moves them and offering a deep insight into their hearts. They draw on a wide range of genres and decades of music history; it's rare to find Hildegard Knef, Eros Ramazotti, and the Fantastischen Vier together on the same song list.
