The »Memento Odesa« project was initiated in 2023 by musician and composer Sebastian Studnitzky and Ukrainian singer and producer Anastasiia Pokaz. Three works, which were spontaneously recorded in the Philharmonic Hall in Odesa in 2023 to draw attention to the situation of people in Ukraine, have now grown into something bigger: The Winter Tour 2025 is already the fourth tour of Germany by »Memento Odesa« since March 2024, with all proceeds donated to aid projects in Ukraine.

»Memento Odesa« is a modern-classical homage to the city of Odesa and its inhabitants in the midst of the Russian war of aggression. It combines classical music with jazz elements, orchestral depth and great emotional expressiveness. Sebastian Studnitzky is an ECHO Jazz and OPUS Klassik award winner and is known for his unique compositions – soundscapes between classical music, jazz and electronics.

It is important to him to give artists from Ukraine a stage for their musical work. With »Memento Odesa«, he also emphasises the responsibility of artists to make meaningful use of their talent and platforms.
