Music & Sandwich New Year's Special – healthy and in a good mood into the new year!

For our first New Year's special as part of Musik & Stulle, we've invited David Beta and his band. Since he's been a frequent guest at our concerts, we know that David not only makes fantastic music but is also a charming entertainer. For this edition of Musik & Stulle, he'll be adding a few sing-along parts to his set, guaranteed to coax even the shiest singers out of their shells. And who knows, maybe he'll even bring some other musicians on stage for the evening?

Calling David a newcomer wouldn't be entirely accurate anymore. After all, the Hamburg-based singer, guitarist, and songwriter has already released a debut album (“Wenn ich schon mal hier bin”), made several television appearances, supported Heinz Rudolf Kunze, and completed a nationwide tour, and has been writing, composing, and performing his songs for over five years. David's style ranges from acoustic singer-songwriter sounds and folk-rock nuances to energetic German pop. He's certainly no stranger to the scene, but he's just as eager to discover and find his own sound as he was at the beginning. Since his debut album, David Beta's lyrics have become clearer and more direct (“Scherben,” “Augen zu”), offering a broader perspective, as demonstrated by the EP single “Egal genug,” and showcasing a keen sense for telling small stories and creating vivid imagery (“Achim,” “Scherben”), while still maintaining a strong affinity for catchy pop (“Mario Kart”). With “Für immer unperfekt” (Forever Imperfect), David Beta takes another major step in his development as an artist in the German-language music scene, albeit with a somewhat edgier approach and less ambition for completeness than before. The “Beta” in his name, a symbol of incompleteness, remains the guiding principle.

Delicious bowls and healthy snacks will be available at the concert (included in the ticket price). Of course, you can also get other drinks at the Hobenköök bar as usual. Bridge Gigs and the restaurant team look forward to seeing you!

Musik & Stulle has been a collaboration between Hobenköök and Bridge Gigs since 2018!

Doors open at 4 pm and the event starts at 5 pm.
