How much does the air in our classroom weigh? What are the components of air, and what important role does CO play in our climate? We experiment with "air cubes," release air from jars, and produce CO ourselves using a chemical reaction. We discuss the human influence on the increase in CO in our atmosphere.
Workshop duration for grades 3-5: 1.5 hours.
Supplement from grade 6 onwards: Students learn about various measuring devices and their functions. We try to demonstrate the greenhouse effect. We program CO traffic lights and measure the CO2 levels in various rooms.
Workshop duration for grades 6-8: 3 hours.
