Lesung mit Agnes Johanna Flügel : "Der Weg der Bienenfrau"
- Other
For the Long Day of Urban Nature, we have the author Agnes Johanna Flügel as our guest.
Agnes Johanna Flügel is a systemic coach, author, and beekeeper. To pursue her dream of a life in harmony with nature, she gave up her job in the Hamburg media industry and founded the "Honigmanufaktur Flügelchen" (Flügelchen Honey Manufactory) in Schleswig-Holstein. There, she developed workshops and seminars on bees, nature, and sustainability, among other things. In her first novel, she remains true to her bees and her desire to increase their appreciation and the art of beekeeping.
In 1649, Johanna led a quiet life on the family farm on the Baltic Sea. She tended her garden and secretly devoted herself to studying bees. When her father died, the idyll shattered, and as a woman, she was excluded from continuing the estate. Driven from the farm, Johanna was forced to embark on a perilous journey across a land devastated by the Thirty Years' War. When all seemed lost, she encountered the mysterious guild of beekeepers. Their love of bees united them. With their help, she wanted to reclaim her home and fight for justice for herself and her family.
