Immanuel Wilkins has not been an insider’s tip for a long time. He first attracted international attention five years ago when his debut album »Omega« was selected by the »New York Times« straight away as the »Jazz Album of 2020« – the saxophonist and composer from Philadelphia was then just 22 years old. Two years later, he presented himself with his quartet in the Elbphilharmonie »Fast Lane« series; most recently, he delighted the Hamburg audience in November 2023 at the »Reflektor«-Festival curated by guitarist Bill Frisell. Now he is once again coming to the Elbphilharmonie with his quartet, bringing music from his albums »Omega«, »The 7th Hand« and »Blues Blood« as well as lots of new music.
