The new program »Swing Forever« is all about the unforgettable music of Glenn Miller, who was inextricably linked to the big band era during his lifetime with his unique sound. In the 2025/26 season, the Glenn Miller Orchestra will once again be on a major European tour to thrill people of all ages around the globe. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is looking forward to giving its loyal fans unforgettable evenings full of swing and joie de vivre. Under the direction of Uli Plettendorff, the audience can expect a rousing concert experience dedicated to music that was originally intended for dancing. Let’s swing, Europe.

The distinctive, strikingly harmonious, and at the same time electrifying sound brings back the spirit of the 1940s and 1950s and leaves no doubt about the skill of these excellent musicians from the very first minute. The large big band lineup plays timeless global hits such as »In The Mood«, »Pennsylvania 6-5000«, »Moonlight Serenade«, »St. Louis Blues March«, »American Patrol«, »Chattanooga Choo Choo«, »Tuxedo Junction«, »Rhapsody in Blue«, »Sentimental Journey«, »A String of Pearls«, and many more. The original arrangements, the irresistible power of the musicians, their infectious enthusiasm and incomparable energy turn every venue into a temple of swing.

The fact that brass instruments are in the majority in the Glenn Miller Orchestra is what makes the Glenn Miller sound so distinctive. With its large big band line-up, the Glenn Miller Orchestra presents unforgettable melodies and arrangements. The vocal group »The Moonlight Serenaders« and the band singer are guaranteed to give you goose bumps with their beautiful melodies in the Glenn Miller sweet sound.

Just as Glenn Miller did, Uli Plettendorff also follows this approach in his program design: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue. Sophisticated tunes from the swing era are reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and, in addition to Glenn Miller, bandleaders such as Benny Goodman and Les Brown.
