Fauré Quartett / Janne Saksala
- Classical Music
The renowned Fauré Quartet expands its sound palette with the Finnish double bass player Janne Saksala, soloist and principal double bass of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2008. Together they will present a programme that brings together the highlights of Romantic chamber music. The focus is on Franz Schubert’s immortal »Forellenquintett«, whose effervescent liveliness and catchy melodies take on a new depth in the interpretation of this exceptional ensemble. This masterpiece is complemented by Schubert’s rarely performed »Adagio« and »Rondo Concertant« as well as Robert Schumann’s passionate piano quartet, a masterpiece of the genre that reflects the entire emotional world of Romanticism.
