After two sold-out US tours, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, featuring guitarist Charlie Sexton, announce the continuation of their acclaimed concert series »Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello« in Europe. As the tour title suggests, Costello and his band will present a selection of early works, from »My Aim Is True« (1977) to »Blood & Chocolate« (1986). These include some of the British songwriter’s best-known compositions—among them classics such as »Watching The Detectives« and »I Want You«—as well as songs that have been an integral part of The Imposters’ repertoire for decades, such as »Alison«, »Man Out Of Time«, and »Brilliant Mistake«.

»

Radio Soul«, the tour’s namesake, refers to an early draft of the later hit Radio Radio and symbolizes Costello’s return to the roots of his creative career. The concerts combine the familiar with the surprising and showcase an ensemble that reinterprets his music in a lively, energetic way.

The Imposters consist of long-time companions Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, and Davey Faragher; Charlie Sexton once again accompanies the trio as guitarist. The quartet is considered one of the most dynamic formations in contemporary rock ‘n’ roll.
