With lots of live music!

"Merry Christmas? – Pah, humbug, nonsense!" For Ebenezer Scrooge, human emotions and warmth are a complete waste of time. He is only interested in his business and the wealth he has accumulated, and is also a decidedly unfriendly person. A case for the three spirits of Christmas: On Christmas Eve, they take Scrooge on a journey through time, from the past to the future. They lead him back to his childhood and youth – what a grump he was even then. They show him how happily the people around him celebrate Christmas and how they can forget their worries for a change, and they look with him into his future, which will be sad and bleak if he continues to live so greedily and mercilessly. It would be a laugh if the spirits failed to warm the cold heart of the old miser with this journey. So will Ebenezer Scrooge become a different person and will he celebrate a merry Christmas after all?

For many years, Felix Bachmann and his team have been responsible for the Christmas plays at the St. Pauli Theater. Following "The Jungle Book," "Robin Hood," and most recently "Peter Pan," among others, the program now features another classic of world literature, Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" – not at all dark, but full of humor, colorful imagery, and plenty of live music.

For children ages 5 and up!
