Embodied Fictions – Staging the Self Each of us plays a role – sometimes without even realizing it. We use clichés or break them apart. Our culture shapes how we present ourselves, and we shape it in return. Artists use this very creative power to challenge prejudices and taboos. Some transform their lives or fantasies into art that makes us think. Joy Stick presents her favorite works of the Kunsthalle, showcasing strong voices of women and the LGBTQIA+ community. She invites you to recognize old patterns and rethink them. Come by, get inspired, and discover how art and performance break boundaries. Join a special drag tour that shows: identity is diverse, colorful, and always evolving! Our drag tours offer an extraordinary and unforgettable view of the Hamburger Kunsthalle collection. Please note that photos may be taken during the tour by the Hamburger Kunsthalle for public relations purposes. The guided tour will be in English. Participation: 6 € plus admission, available in advance. Meeting point: Lichtwarkgalerie / Altbautreppenhaus / Gallery Further information about the queer offerings of the Hamburger Kunsthalle, as well as dates and tickets, can be found here: www.hamburger-kunsthalle.de/de/queere-angebote
