AKIO Le & Band: Dear Nat King Cole
An evening in honor of the unforgettable King of Swing
An evening dedicated to swing and the unforgettable Nat King Cole and his timeless hits. Music that gently lingers in your ear.
AKIO, a Hanover-based artist with Vietnamese roots, is one of the few crooners in Germany to pay tribute to his idol Nat King Cole with a unique show. He brings the velvety vocal sound that Nat King Cole's ballads, such as "Smile" and "Unforgettable," demand. But even with Cole's rhythmic swing classics, such as "LOVE" and "Sweet Lorraine," Akio and his band authentically perform that special, swinging and rousing groove that automatically gets feet tapping and fingers snapping.
"Dear Nat King Cole" is a stylish and diverse program featuring world-famous jazz classics, as well as lesser-known Nat King Cole pieces. A mix of jazz, blues, and swing. Honest. Relaxed. Simply put: an ode to jazz—and to the unforgettable Nat King Cole.
