In Christian Fennesz’s music, time seems to stand still and space seems to dissolve. Fennesz has been shaping the electronic music scene in his native Austria and far beyond since the 1990s. He creates his complex, multi-layered ambient sounds using the guitar as his starting point. Although often distorted beyond recognition, the instrument is Fennesz’s trademark and unique selling point.
